This was a day that will never forget. We have only a short drive from Jean, Nevada. This is the small town that you, like your trip to Las Vegas from California. All you see are a couple of hotels or casinos in the desert with nothing around them, even houses. Nature makes you wonder who thought the whole world, that would be a good place for hotels. Now I'm just outside of Las Vegas and it seems that many people stay there because the rooms are cheaper and assince its so close it makes sense. Well, I discovered that the best part of Jean, Nevada hotels was not cheap, but the best skydiving in Las Vegas. If you've never jumped, but they have always wanted to try to go in tandem is the best. I had a really great instructor named Troy, who has done more than 1000 jumps. In fact, he married not long ago, and his ceremony was attended by the two paratroopers, for a change. Though I was scared to death, has kept the conversation light and made sure he was comfortablewith him and with the exchange. For me, the scariest part is it was not the leap itself but the journey. Just knowing that every minute the door was open, and I had to do was unnerving. As soon as we jumped, it was exciting and the view was overwhelming. If ever in Las Vegas, you must try.
